  • Working principle

    The hollow paddle shaft rotates slowly under the drive of the transmission system. Materials enter the machine from the feed port and are conveyed to the discharge port through the hollow paddle shaft. Meanwhile, heat media such as steam, hot water or heat transfer oil are introduced into the hollow blades and the jacket, and the materials are dried through conduction heating. Due to the wedge-shaped shape of the hollow blades, when rotating, the material is alternately compressed and expanded, enhancing the self-cleaning effect on the heat transfer surface and increasing the heat transfer coefficient.

    Technical features

    High thermal efficiency: By using conduction heating, the heat utilization rate can reach over 90%. The heat transfer coefficient of the double-shaft paddle dryer is 120-180W/(m² · K), and the thermal efficiency is 80%-90%.

    Low energy consumption: The double-shaft paddle dryer only consumes 1.2kg of steam to evaporate 1kg of water, and the electricity consumption is ≤32.3 kilowatt-hours per ton of wet material.

    Good self-cleaning performance: The wedge-shaped blades have self-cleaning ability. The dispersion force generated by the combined movement of the inclined surface of the rotating blades and the particle or powder layer automatically removes the material adhering to the heating inclined surface, ensuring that there is no covering on the blade surface and maintaining efficient heat transfer.

    Compact structure: High heat transfer per unit volume and small floor space.

    Stable operation: Due to the special compression-expansion stirring effect of the wedge-shaped blades, the material particles are fully in contact with the heat transfer surface. Within the axial range, the temperature, humidity and mixing degree gradients of the material are very small, ensuring the stability of the process.

    Wide application range: It can handle various materials such as paste, granules and powder, and complete multiple unit operations including drying, cooling, heating, sterilization and reaction. It is suitable for multiple fields such as food, chemical, petrochemical, dye and industrial sludge.

    Type and application scenarios

    Double-shaft paddle dryer: It is suitable for medium-viscosity materials (< 5×10⁴cP) with a production capacity of no more than 50 tons per day, such as chemical sludge treatment and food drying, etc. The equipment cost is relatively low.

    Four-shaft paddle dryer: It is suitable for handling extremely high-viscosity materials or situations where residual moisture is required to be less than 5%, as well as scenarios that need to enhance mixing reactions, such as sterilization, low-temperature calcination and other multi-functional requirements, such as petroleum slurry treatment, low-temperature drying of biological colloids, etc.
